So far tonight the unpredictable has happened

I would have never thought De Leon, Ortiz, and Alvarez would win their fights tonight. Boxing needs more evenly matched fights like these on PPV. Keep fans on their toes.

Two back to back stacked PPV cards with the best of yesterday against the mediocre of today fighting eachother, by GBP.

De Leon/Escalante was a good matchup, but the other two were cut and dry.

Hard to really rate Mosley/Mora since I despise Mora. Hopefully Mosley doesn't look old.

The favorites won in all three fights. Guys like Harris and Baldomir were brought in to lose and were huge underdogs. The only surprise was how impressive the KO's were.

It doesn't take rocket science to see that Ortiz-Harris was going to be a blowout. I expected Ponce's fight to be closer, but I still predicted him to get a knockout. As for the Alvarez fight, the knockout was definitely impressive but one must wonder how the fight would have went down in 2006 where Baldy was hungry and known to be iron chinned. Canelo was also getting caught a lot early and was even hurt once or twice. I still think the KO was good though. I expected it to be later.

The card isn't horrible, but if this is the best boxing can do then this is sad. Here is what a card should look like.
                Mike Jones vs. Saul Alvarez
Ponce De Leon vs. Wilfredo Vasquez
Victor Ortiz vs. someone better than Harris.

What's even more impressive than the TKO's is how GBP managed to persuade HBO to put this card on PPV.
