On Saturday night, the former featherweight champion of the world and IBHOF inductee, Barry McGuigan, staged a tiny card at Ulster Hall in Belfast, Northern Ireland. In the main event of the night, rising British featherweight Carl Frampton (7-0, 4 KOs) scored his soundest victory so far with the third round stoppage of Ukrainian veteran Yuri Voronin (27-12-2, 18 KOs). Frampton was a better boxer from the start. He gave his shot foe almost no chance at all and punched him at will. In round two, Frampton dropped Voroning with a big right hand and ended matters late in the third (official time of stoppage is 2:43) when referee Kenny Pringle stepped in to save the 37-year-old Ukrainian from further punishment.
