    Round 7: Frenkel vs Maccarinelli

That round was one of the saddest in boxing. Enzo didn't look to healthy from the first knockdown but I think the ref had to give him a second chance, don't you think? Enzo was on edge, if the ref stopped it no doubt people would have said it was another premature stoppage! Props to Enzo for getting back up, he has a lion of a heart. Such a sad way for a former champion to end his career.

Could have but bare in mind Enzo's career was hanging by a thread, hence why the referee allowed to give him a second shot. He had to, Right?

i suppose he could have but i'm not sure the ref really took a good look at Enzo while he was administering the count...the ref's main priority should be the fighter's health at that moment

It kind of reminded me of the Haye knock down. Enzo got up out of instinct again but it wasn't hard to realize he had no idea where he was. I agree, the ref's job is ensure the fighters safety, had this been a different situation then the referee probably would have stopped it but on this occasion the mans career was hanging by a thread, which I think the ref gave him a second chance, which resulted in a horrible knockout.

            ****ing Hell. Devastating Knockout.

He was done after the first knockdown.

Tbf, he was done after the Afalabi loss....

            Such a shame.

Damn, was that a career ending loss for Tommy to? I liked that guy, he had amazing knockout power with his left hook! Sometimes this is what comes with boxing though, as fans, fighters should get more respect then they do, boxing can be a brutal sport sometimes as we seen tonight. These guys don't know when to hang em up sometimes, and sadly tonight we seen it again. Roy Jones really needs to retire to, why on earth is he still boxing to man! Roy has already showed us what he can do, I don't want to see an ending to a boxers career like tonight!

I dont really feel sorry for them, they know the dangers involved in getting your head punched for a living and they get paid ALOT more than us. Its Risk Vs Reward. Thats the reason they make more than us its because they take alot more risk and for those who Box for a living its worth it in their eyes. So dont be too worried about Boxers im sure they aint worried about you, they doing just fine.
