What % of PPV buys are actually real boxing fans?

    Was wondering this..

Tonights fight I wont be ordering which is rare for me since I love boxing, I like the undercard more than the main fight (now I want to buy it again ).

Thing is I was wondering how much leverage we have as boxing fans if we decided to boycott a PPV what impact there would be..

lol I thought the same thing about this and wanted to do it for the Pacquiao vs. Margarito fight but instead I am going to have a fight party for it. To be honest there is no way to really find out lol. I am also looking forward to Rigondeaux vs. Cordoba.

I would think or a card like the one on HBO tonight, the majority of the people who buy the PPV are hardcore fans, or at least near enough to hardcore fans. But in the big fights, involving say Pacquiao and Mayweather, then I think the majority will be more casual fans caught up in the hype and promotion of the fight.

But there's no real way you'd be able to find this out, but that's my theory of it. I think if there was a boycott of a big fight, there might be a drop of between 150k and 300k buys. But that's being optimistic and just a guess really!

Didn't really care to much about missing this fight but the lil lady's dad told me he already ordered it and it is after all boxing so it looks like I will not only be watching but in HD on and on a big screen as well.
