Have you guys seen Guillermo Rigondeux?

I just saw some of his previous fights and i couldnt beleive how good he was. They say hes the best amateur ever but his style translates perfectly to the pros, he reminds me a lot of Pernell Whitaker, do you guys agree?

before comparing fighters to pernell whitaker just because they are southpaw and have a bit of slickness to them, you should take a look at their jab. sweet pea had a jab that controlled world class fighters and put them in positions he could easily work off of...rigondeux does not.

i dont know what trolling means but im not new to boxing. I saw his fight with jose beranza and if you look at that fight his lateral movements and precision punching resembled sweet pea. Im not saying hes as good as whitaker just that his movements reminded me of him.

yes. and for the most part he's an extremely highly touted prospect, as well as the other cubans that came with him.

looking forward to watching him fight.

looks like he's hit the cuban expatriate wall.
he's 29, he should be moving faster and getting (or staying) with a better team who'll keep him focused and hungry.
as for his style, its hard to make a comparison. hes one of the most efficient and devastating single punch counter punchers i've seen in recent history...maybe since prime roy
