Props to Khan for sticking by his mate.

Joe admitted snorting coke on camera....Hatton actually snorted multiple lines on camera in close-up!! lol Plus, Hatton is a bigger star in the UK than Calzaghe.

Good points, but it's still exactly the same thing.

Where were the calls for Joe to go to rehab, and where were the fruitcakes suggesting that Joe should have his kids taken off him until he straightens himself out ?

I am not comparing coke to alcohol, just giving an example of public perception.....

During the prohibition, many people were killed or thrown in jail for their heinous crimes but, who gives a *** about that now, and yet the world is full of alcoholics ?

Let's not burn Ricky at the stake just yet.

        He didn't kill anyone ffs.

You could also look at it from this perspective. Actually more people have shown more compassion for Ricky than they did for Joe. As far as we knew, Joe still seemed functional and looked like he was doing it as recreation. Then got caught up in a sting operation. Whereas with Ricky, he was evidently destroying himself with alcohol and coke to the point where friends & family were desperately intervening.

            Yea I see your point.

I would be interested to know if Calzaghe could have hoovered those three lines as well as Ricky

And, Ricky has received a lot of support from fans, as well as family.

Just watched an interview with Ricky on Sky Sports, he said that to come to terms with his depression he's had to admit to himself that he's never fighting again and it's over.

He said he renewed his license etc but deep down he knew it wasn't happening, he just didn't want to accept it.

The guy is obviously remorseful, was in a bad place after his defeat and went off the rails. He's now sorting himself out, so there's no need for anyone to hate on him.

Khan can stand by fellow Brit Ricky all he wants and with anybody else. That's cool. Just he don't duck Maidana or anybody put in front of him.
