PPV for two fighters who are not even entertaining, Bernard "Headbutting Clincher" Hopkins vs Jean "The Runner" Pascal. What moron would make this ppv in America? Either way it wouldn't matter to me because if Showtime has the fight I'd have to stream anyways. Since we don't get showtime hd anymore because my provider wanted to much money for that package... So we only got like HBO and Starz now.
First people complain fights aren't being made, then you have a 45 year old ATG challenging and signing right away to fight the top guy in the division yet again and still people moan.
The idea that an entertaining fight only means the most possible punches and damage is a little lame.
Hopkins is a rare breed in terms of style, ring tactics, defence, taunting, ring entrance, post fight interviews, and still does do some damage to his opponents, even the Pavlik fight showed that. Heck all at 45 years old.
Pascal is entertaining in my mind, very good lateral movement, combinations, speed, resilience, and even in the Froch fight showed he is in-fact completely willing to go to absolute war.
It's one of only a few fights out there with a true old ATG that'll be quite interesting actually.
