Two-time world champion Eric Morel has informed Fightn_ews that today he voluntarily withdrew as WBO’s Interim bantamweight champion. The organization was mandating a fight with Fernando Montiel in Colombia for October 30th. Morel recently signed a promotional agreement with Golden Boy Promotions, and will pursue other avenues for his career with his new promoter. “My new promoter is presenting exciting fights for me for the very near future. Golden Boy is the perfect vehicle to take my career to new heights. I can’t wait to get started,” Morel stated.
