Surely someone is going to have to vacate?

    Berto is a bit small for 154, he's still fighting 140 lbs'ers at 147.
I think he will have to move up to 154, but Cotto is also a small 154.

It's been almost three years since Cintrón has knocked anyone out. And if you remember his last TKO victory, he landed flush on Feliciano's face round after round. It took him 10 rounds to finish the job, though. Kermit has been boxing's nutcase for too long. The crying, the flying through the ropes, and the **** he pulled at the Martínez fight.

Berto is unproven. I think Arum knows this and might be the reason he is interested in the fight.

Arum has been screwing things up. I THINK what people want is:

      Pac vs Mayweather

      Cotto vs Margarito II

Cotto is a small 154 as far as height goes. He's a bona fide big boned fat guy on a diet.

I believe that those fights will probably happen next year. Imagine if Margarito beats Pac and Cotto wins his next fight, then they can have a rematch and unification fight.

I could imagine it... but there is no way I can see Plaster-less Margo fighting a maybe-Juiced Manny and winning. Plaster Margo vs Juiced Manny would be a hell of a fight.

I don't think Cotto should lose against Berto/Cintrón/JCCJr.

Which fight do you think is more competitive? Berto or Cintrón?

I think Berto will be more competitive, but if Cintron can catch Cotto clean a few times....

Berto started boxing as a middleweight when he started i believe so he isn't a stranger to that division

i think cintron vs cotto would be a great fight as would him facing berto i think berto's speed would be a little tricky for miguel though

Agree. we only have seen Cotto at 154 with a light puncher in Foreman. Let's see how he handles a decent puncher in Cintron at that weight. Berto will make for a fun fight but I was hoping for Chavez Jr.

No doubt Berto or Cintron are better than Chavez Jr at this point.

They already removed the Chavez Jr.-bout from boxrec, I am pissed. Sure, it would have not been very competitive, but I was looking forward to exactly that...

Cintron is the more dangerous puncher, but Berto has his uppercuts going for him, so yeah, both would be dangerous and lively opponents and a clear improvement from JCC Jr.
