Every time i come across a thread that mentions Trinidad people say hes a disgrace or a cheater and compare him to margarito when they are nothing alike. I met a guy who worked with Trinidad Sr and when i asked him about the wraps he said that trinidad Sr used to put more tape and gauze than other trainers but he told me that the extra wraps made his hands feel safer but it didnt add power at all and most trainers do that with big punchers cuz the impact on the hand is bigger and it isnt against the rules. He was also in tito's locker room before fights at times and sr wrapped tito's hands legally. He also told me that since Tito was a kid you could tell he had special punching power and he says that he had never heard of people thinking tito was cheat.

you never boxed before havent you,yes it makes a difference when you add more tape then allowed you are building a cast around your fist plus it gives you more confidence to punch harder.pretty much its cheating not to the extreme of cheato but it gives you an advantage
