Can't imagine what Bob's going through. He has some big fights coming up and now he has to deal with the loss of his son, John. Regardless of how I feel about the man, I'd never wish death on anyone or their family.
MARBLEMOUNT, Wash. (AP) - The National Park Service says a helicopter has recovered the body of a Seattle environmental lawyer who died while mountain climbing in Washington's North Cascades National Park.
Park spokeswoman Kelly Bush says the body of 49-year-old John Arum was recovered Wednesday by a Snohomish County sheriff's office helicopter. Arum was the son of top boxing promoter Bob Arum.
John Arum had planned a solo climb of 8,500-foot Storm King Mountain on Aug. 28. A search began on Aug. 30 after he failed to return from the peak about 85 miles northeast of Seattle. After a five-day search, his body was spotted from the air at about the 7,700-foot level of the mountain's north face. A park spokeswoman said it appeared the experienced mountain climber had fallen.
Bush says poor weather and the difficult terrain delayed recovery operations.
