Comments Thread For: Saul Alvarez Believes That He Can Knock Baldomir Out

WBC silver junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez believes that he has a good chance to become the first man to knock out Argentina's Carlos Baldomir, the former world champion at welterweight. They fight this Saturday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on the pay-per-view undercard to Shane Mosley-Sergio Mora.

Now everybody says they are going to go look for a knock out but really going in there to take out Baldomir is not a very good idea and that does play into Baldomir's hands.

I think Baldomir is a pretty good fight for Alvarez, Alvarez should be able to win but Baldomir should be able to make it a tough fight for him and if Alvarez fights the wrong fight it could be a real dog fight.

ugh, if it happens, all the people who take HBO commentary as truth will be all over his nuts....because the moment HBO started saying Baldomir has a great chin, people suddenly think its true....Baldomir has fought very few elite punchers or finishers....Gatti at ww wasnt that big a puncher, judah is a consistent puncher for 4 rounds, plenty of people have survived the judah 4 round onslaught, after 4 judah still has one punch power, but he throws 10 punches a round.......Mayweather sint a puncher......forrest is a decent puncher, but not devastating.....clottey is a mediocre puncher, and a coaster

and still its not like Baldomir took Forrest's and Jusah's punches like nothing, they clealry had his respect........and Luciano Perez had him stunned more than once in their fight....

so no, its no surprise if an explosive hard punching aggresive jr middle stops a very slow ageing and inactive veteran

tata is slow and is not the same guy who fought judah, floyd gatti and forrest.

alvarez should be able to stop tata on activity and speed.
