MANNY PACQUIAO VS ANTONIO MARGARITO ODDS SHOW PACQUIAO AS BIG FAVOURITE
    By Scott O’Brian

    Great Selection of Live Markets

One of the biggest boxing matches of the year is already shaping up to be a pretty underwhelming fight as the bookmakers favour Manny Pacquiao for a majorly lopsided victory. It’s pretty obvious that anybody looking to back Antonio Margarito to get some type of result here is looking at a first-rate payout.

As it currently stands, Manny Pacquiao is trading at 1/7 with Bet365 for the outright victory. That means a £100 wager would reward at £114.29 all-told.

Antonio Margarito’s odds to beat Manny Pacquiao are listed at a lengthy 9/2 and that means a £100 wager would pay out around £550.

The fight is not favoured to go the distance and the over/under on rounds is set at 9.5 with the under getting a big edge at 8/15 while the over is trading at 11/8.

The method of victory betting is usually the best spot to get an accurate view of how things are expected to shape up and you’ll see that a Pacquiao victory by KO or TKO to be the heavily-favoured result. You can back that at a 2/5 price while Manny Pacquiao to win by decision or technical decision is trading at 10/3.

Antonio Margarito to pull off a victory is favoured to be by KO or TKO if it happens. You can back that at 15/2 while a decision victory rewards at 14/1.

Grouped round betting at Bet365 shows that Manny Pacquiao’s favoured rounds are 7-9 where he’s 7/2 to wrap up a victory. You can back him at 4/1 for a win between rounds 4-6 while a 6/1 result is the payout on a round 1-3 victory. He’s 9/2 to win between rounds 10-12.

Antonio Margarito’s odds are listed as high as 25/1 to win in rounds 1-3 while he’s at 20/1 for either 4-6 or 7-9. He is priced at 18/1 to win between rounds 10-12.

Any thoughts on this? who thinks margarito's chances justify a punt at 15/2 or 14/1 or whatever? would you straddle with pac by decision or KO?

Best bet would be Marg by TKO.

i dunno but i also see marg winning only via KO (punchers chance only). margs style is tailored in favor of pac. so pac would win either on decision (ring generalship and volume punches) or TKO/KO.
