Am I the only one that is tired of hearing that Freddie Roach....

can train this or that person to the next level. No disrespect to Freddie, he is a great trainer, but some people on here act like he is the second coming of Jesus Christ and that he can take a pile of crap and make them world class with little to no effort. Freddie is great, but there are other trainers that are equally as good. Nacho Beristein, Naazim Richarson, John David Jackson, Ronnie Shields, Bredan Ingle, the late Oscar Suarez to name a few. You guys need to let off with the stanning of Roach.

McGirth is the pile of crap zinzang was blabbing about, and back on topic...Roach is just a trainer that was lucky to get a guy like Pac to go to his gym. Roach has never made a champ from scratch like Nacho Beristain has with Rafa and Juan Manuel Marquez.

I think this too. He gets too much credit for teaching Pacquiao how to actually box. He had never brought up any good fighters other than Pacquiao, and even then Pacquiao is mostly Pacquiao because of his speed and strength, things Roach did not teach him. He is a great trainer along with many others out there, but he is no Jesus Christ.

TS - i have never seen one post, blog, article or anything at all praising roach to the level you stated... Do you have any link of the sort...

He is highly regarded and respected among the other names you mentioned... But IMO every fighter fits with a certain kind of trainer... I do believe that Roach was tailor made for Pacquiao, and i doubt (IMO) that no other trainer would've brought PAC to this level...

No real links but I can think of examples. Its just a everytime a good solid fighter loses its automatically, opps so and so fighter should get trained by Roach and that wouldn't have happened.

I dont know why people choose Freddie Roach, he has like 15 boxers/mma guys that hes "training" but how can he give the attention to all of them at the same time? he cant!

In recent time it seems to me like hes got the media spotlight bug and is now being more of a promoter than a trainer. Always wants to be in interviews always commenting on fights.

It seems its getting to his head a little bit. While other trainers have a couple guys that they give their full time to they bring them from amateur to pro. Roach got lucky by getting Pacq and is riding his fame off his back so he gets new talent. He's training some MMA guys and theyve all been losing. They think that he's going to change their lives but he will spend 10% of the time that a dedicated trainer will spend with the person.

Look at Emanual Stewart, you think he cant train 50 people? He gets requests constantly but he cherry picks his fighters because hes not a fast-food drive thru trainer like Roach where he takes any bum of the street aslong as he gets the 10%.

Roach is da man but he needs to humble down a littlebit and get back to his roots instead of being in the media and having 50 fighters.

He is a good trainer but by no means is a miracle maker
