Haye says he will retire next year and will fight a Klitschko

WBA Heavyweight champion David Haye has revealed that he will retire from the sport next year. In an interview with the Chris Moyles show on bbc radio 1, Haye was asked " What do you think about Klitschko calling you a coward ? " Haye replied " I think it's quite amusing. The fight will happen next year. I'm retiring next year, so it happens next year ".

Haye also reveled in the interview that he sometimes doubles or even triples his purses by betting on himself to win in a certain round. Haye said he will text his mates in the morning of the fight to tell them which round to bet on. If his opponents start to go down in the wrong round he will back off waiting until the correct round to take them out ".

this mother***a pulled out 100 times already, im ashamed that i was even exited about him coming into the heavyweight division.

i hope this fight does happen, and i hope wladimir makes good on his promise of punishing him for 12 rounds.

i wont be satisfied with a fast ko, i want wlad to maul him all over the ring, i want haye's body to be taken out on a stretcher after the 12th round.

        it is.

i saw an interview with floyd where they brought the same thing up, the other ppl on teh show asked the same thing but he cleared it up. alot of fighters bet on themselfs actually. floyd, haye, hopkins and RJJ i believe (not lately i hope). with the mix of big egos and big money its not too surprising.

He can do it because he knows the competition he is fighting is ****. Exactly why he is going to tell his mates to bet on a Klitschko win against him.

Stop saying you are going to retire next year Haye. Fight Wlad and then Vitali and then decide what you want to do.

That can't be legal surely? That's akin to match fixing! If it is at the moment it won't be for long.

He's obviously not believing in himself being a serious challenge to either Klitschko. I doubt if he will prepare properly for a fight i.e. face Chagaev and Adamek.

What he means to say is that he'll retire next year and fight Dimitrenko. Hey, Alex is a big scary looking Ukranian with a ko at the end of his name. Haye's fans won't know any different.
