Is Chris John ever going to fight again?

Its been about a year since he beat Juarez which is what anyone who is anyone at FW does and he doesn't have a fight scheduled at all.

Its a shame to see a talent like him lose his status in the division like this and being overshadowed by younger guys without him ever being beaten(except for JMM really).

Anyone know if there are any talks about him fighting someone soon?

        And more important... who cares?

He had some fever or something which canceled a fight. He is still around.

His manager had a hilarious quote:

WBA super world featherweight champion Chris “The Dragon ” John (43-0, 22 KOs) will be in action on July 26 in Jakarta, Indonesia when he defends the championship against South American featherweight champion Fernando “El Vasco” Saucedo (38-4-3, 1 KO) of Argentina over twelve rounds. John is in solid training under the expert guidance of Craig Christian who talked to *********. “CJ is in great shape three weeks out from fight. He seems to be very hungry. I cannot fault his attitude or his endeavor. I believe CJ is boxing better than ever before he is really having fun trying new things and is really sitting down on his punches. After this (with Saucedo) we want to fight any of the other champs: Gamboa, anyone except for Billy Dib, we are terrified of him. He will never get a shot.” In his last ring appearance Chris John defended the championship in September 2009 with clear twelve round points decision over Rocky Juarez at the MGM Grand Casino in Las Vegas.

It's from the site that reports the news about fights.

Lopez might actually not want any... Dib shut Mtagwa out... I remember that on the Yahoo viewing of the non-televised undercard of Cotto-Mosley. That's the only time I've ever watched the Yahoo undercard of a PPV.

Luevano actually looked like a god coming into the Mtagwa fight.

Starched Ponce de Leon in one, which was shocking, considering Lopez was totally untested and Ponce seemed too tough to knock out, especially in one round.

He then blew two other fighters out in one round (neither were very good).

He then whipped Gerry Penalosa, landing 400+ power shots in 10 rounds... including 81 landed punches in one round.

He hasn't looked that great since the Mtagwa fight though.
