Since reports last week said that Manny Pacquiao is interested in entering into Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), someone from the MMA called him out. KJ Noons, a Strikeforce lightweight fighter, who is also a boxer made a proposition that he would fight Manny Pacquiao in the MMA cage and would also fight him in a boxing ring.
“I would love to welcome Manny Pacquiao into MMA. It would be an ideal situation for him because I don’t take guys down to the ground, and after that’s all said and done in the cage, I would be willing to step inside of the ring with him too, something we all knew Randy Couture wouldn’t do with James Toney. I know Floyd Mayweather isn’t looking to do MMA, but I would still be willing to fight Mayweather and Pacquiao in a boxing match and both camps have been reached, so we will see what happens,” Noons said in a report by FightHype.com.
This could be just Noons hyping things up to gain attention of the media. Who would not want a bigger pay day standing up against the best boxer in the world right now?
Why would Manny step into MMA to make peanuts compared to what he's making now? Seems like MMA is following in the footsteps of honest Arum and using Pacquiao's name to promote themselves knowing a fight like that would never happen. Kindof like the "negotiations" honest Arum had with Floyd's team when they knew all along it wasn't going to happen so they could use his name to promote Manny's real behind the scenes fight with Cheato.
