    *Wlads last 5 opponents [ANALYSIS]*

OK, Below are a list of Wlads last 5 opponents:
    Including there last 3 opponents:

    Samuel Peter
    Nagy Aguilera - 6′ 3″
Gabe Brown - height unknown (but is a lard azz, my guess is 5' 11")
    Ronald Bellamy - 6′ 5″
    Average height fought - 6' 2"

    Eddie Chambers
    Alexander Dimitrenko - 6' 7"
    Samuel Peter - 6′ 2″
    Cisse Salif - 6′ 4″
    Average height fought - 6' 4"

    Ruslan Chagaev
Carl Davis Drumond - (Height unknown, estimate at 6' 2")
    Matt Skelton - 6′ 3″
    Nikolay Valuev - 7′ 0″
    Average height fought - 6' 5"

    Hasim Rahman
    James Toney - 5′ 10″
    Zuri Lawrence - 6′ 4″
    Cerrone Fox - 6′ 0″
    Average height fought - 6' 0"

    Tony Thompson
    Cliff Couser - 5′ 11″
    Luan Krasniqi - 6′ 3½″
    Timur Ibragimov - 6′ 3½″
    Average height fought - 6' 3"

Thats the height statistics out of the way, based on height and other attributes such as previous losses and boxing ability, who do you think had the best chance of winning? Who would you say had the best preparation? If you had 3 fights to prepare for Wlad, who would you fight and how would you prepare in terms of boxing? Power? Ring generalship?

They all got creamed, yes. Potentially what were there pitfalls? Do you think a fighter can be groomed to beat Wlad?

Discuss any aspect of this thread.

I don't think height is the biggest issue...

Wlad is good because he is good.

Fighters seem to lose because they aren't willing to go through what Ali & Frasier went through in Thrilla In Manilla...fighters aren't willing to get into the trenches and really make Wlad feel something

They choose just to stay back and be in awe of his hard jab.

I think it simply needs to be a really determined fighter with good conditioning, decent speed and pop, but most of all a TRUE DESIRE to take and give even more. To make Wlad uncomfortable.

yes you are right, But why do they just sit back and "take" the jab to the face..? Peter tried to "bob n weave" and failed terribly, although he did clip Wlad with a punch... hmmm

Dwyer recent analysis was pretty good

Wlad doesn't go to the body much at all

A guy who can get in close and throw a bit can cause him trouble

Sadly i don't see anyone out there right now like that

Peter's style in the first round with someone who has good footwork and doesn't gass and can throw a bit would be perfect

They fight off the back foot and effectively keep the gap 'in effect'. It's a novel strategy that they appear to do better than many of Emmanuel's other students. Prime Tyson would be a headache for them but anyone else? I dunno.

Yeah you're right about that, but OMG Peters balance is horrible!!! His weight was terrible too even though he came in lighter. A swarming 'Hatton style would work. Did you notice when Wlad tied up, Peter didn't even throw on the inside!!!!!

What do you mean? I counted 3 punches to the back of Wlad's head in the first half of the first round alone, while Peter was on the inside.

Still not sure how he made those dreadful marks on Wlad's back.

As much as I love JT as a fighter I don't hope he'll get a fight with either Klitschko brothers. I still think Toney had a chance a few years back but not today. However, he's not a quitter. He would stand infront of them taking shots and give them back. Sam Peter rabbit punched him quite a lot in those two fights they had and you didn't see Toney complain one bit.

That is true, but isnt there a way to get inside the jab? Can only think of Mike Tyson who could have done that...
