Why do people look past fighters like Rafael Marquez and Michael Katsidis?

You could have sworn Katsidis already lost to Raf's brother, and Raf already lost to Lopez. The way people talk on this forum like these two fighters stand 0 chance in their upcoming bouts is quite odd. Their styles actually favor them for the upset in both fights.

As much as I like Marquez, I'm actually going to root for Katsidis. I'm a bigger fan of Katsidis anyways. Plus he's really cool to talk to on Facebook.

You should be rooting for Marquez so he can improve his legacy some more! Aren't you Mexican? Betrayal!?

I'd go to with war with Katsidis any day.

I give Katsidis a good shot against Marquez.

I give Marquez a less of shot against the younger, stronger guy.

But I never rule out a true warrior like Marquez.

Love watching that Psycho Aussie fight.

I think he'd be more suited for a street fight though. Not Boxing.

He just doesn't have the polish that he needs to be a great champ.......he has all the toughness etc. The goods.

Dont ever overlook an opponent. I agree with most people not giving fighters their just do, like the 2 fights and 2 fighters you mentioned. Noboidy knows the winner until the end of the fight, that leaves everyone guessing until that moment...since no one likes to be wrong and everyone likes to know exactly what they are talking about they not hesitate on making BOLD predictions. Because upsets are usually unlikely, hence why they are called upsets. Its always good to give an underdog a shot in my opinion it makes for better anticipation of the upcoming bout...its just too bad that the underdog typically doesnt deliver.

I got Rafa knocking Lopez out and JMM stopping Katsidis. I'm not 100% sure on either pick because they both have the makings of a war and when it's like that anybody can win.

In wars, the best conditioning usually wins out, but all 4 have great conditioning. If you anull conditioning, then whoever can take the other's punches better and'or has the better gameplan will win.
