YOU GUYS !! 2010 could have been like this...

Floyd Mayweather Jr - Manny Pacquiao

    Wladimir Klitschko - David Haye

Juan Manuel Lopez - Yuriorkis Gamboa

Sergio Martinez - Paul Williams II

    Timothy Bradley - Devon Alexander

    Amir Khan - Marcos Maidana

    Andre Ward - Andre Dirrell

Juan Manuel Marquez - Michael Katsidis

2010 could have been the greatest boxing year in the history of the sport.

I know that there are also some other good fights like Abraham-Froch but the above mentioned fights are the most wanted by fans.

Yeah, could've been great, if just a few of those fights happened :/

Floyd Mayweather Jr - Manny Pacquiao - biggest fight that can be made and one of the greatest in history

Wladimir Klitschko - David Haye - finally the "BIG" HW fight that matters

Juan Manuel Lopez - Yuriorkis Gamboa - two, young, prime, undefeated champions on a collision course. Reminds me of DLH vs Tito but not as big or high profile.

Sergio Martinez - Paul Williams II - Expect another good fight

Timothy Bradley - Devon Alexander - Don't expect a good fight, but at least clear up the 140lb mouthfest

Amir Khan - Marcos Maidana - Expect a great and exciting fight, regardless of how long or short it lasts

Andre Ward - Andre Dirrell - Any move forward for the Super Six is a great thing

Juan Manuel Marquez - Michael Katsidis - Exciting while it lasts. Either a long and entertaining great fight, or a quick and entertaining destruction

4 of these may happen this year and the 5th will happen in January. Would 3 out of the 8 really have made a difference?

Its the top two fights that the world wanted to see in all reality.

If just those two fights had been made and Khan Maidana went down it would have been a decent year. Its gonna be a limp **** champion year.

Maybe for the casual fan but I've really enjoyed boxing this year. Just in the past 3 weeks we've had 2 FOTY candidates, and last night Brandon Rios stole the show.

It's still not a terrible year. Floyd vs Sugar Shane was a huge fight I didn't believe would actually happen and Martinez emerged as a real p4p star. In the UK Frank Warren has put on two massive cards, Ricky Burns captured a title live on TV last week and Haye vs Harrison will generate a lot of interest (despite being a ******ed fight).

This year has done boxing some good in the UK and I still believe Mayweather vs Pacquiao and Hate vs a Klitschko will happen next year, along with the end of the Super Six and hopefully some big matchups at light welter. See 2010 as the year that set up 2011

If you're still really hurt by memories of this year's failings, you can always remember it as the year John Ruiz retired.
