Naah. I think the only fight that would come close to doing that is Alvarez vs Chavez Jr. but even that is a reach.

Whenever I go to boxing events in San Antonio, Laredo and other cities in South Texas.....I run into a lot of boxing fans from Mexico. They love Alvarez and he has the biggest buzz right now in Mexico......but I still don't think that would be enough to do over 100k.

Honestly I think It would have to take a legend like Chavez Sr. or if Alvarez beat a few top guys.....a fight with Pacquiao in 2 years to do #'s like that. Just my opinion though.

50k in Mexico and 40k in Germany.

Amazing day for boxing, sad thing is there were probably 1500 people at the Gamboa fight.

FWIW if Morales vs Limmond did 50k, then Alvarez vs Chavez (with the right hype and build up) would do 80k (again just my opinion).

One thing to remember is that once they put the seats on the field.....then Azteca will hold a lot more than the 105k.

Chavez vs Haugen did 132k at Azteca.

I don't know if they can do that but if they did 50k tonight then 80-90k isn't that out of this world.
