To me, he looked like he wanted to box for the most part
Salido made it ugly and difficult by clinching
Then Gamboa wanted to end it late and nearly got DQ'd
    Strange fight.

We're talking about when you hit someone when they're down. If the fighter can continue, ref takes points away. But in the case of Ward/Abraham and Bika/Dont Remember His Name, the affected fighters could not continue which is why they got the DQ.

should've been a DQ man. I like Gamboa, but that was cheap.

Salido could've gotten the victory with a little bit of acting. what an idiot.

Two different cases. Peterson was DQ'd because he'd already had 2 points deducted. 3rd would-be deduction is typically suppose to be a DQ.

Would've been horrible if Gamboa would've been DQ'd, but it could've happened. As it happened, Gamboa may well have cost himself a KO victory.

You said a DQ not a DQ resulting after being hit while being down.

Salido could of rolled out of the ring gone to his house grab a mattress took it to the ring laid down with his face down and Gamboa would of still punched him in the back of the head.

I think the ref handled what was a difficult situation pretty well.
