    Has Wlad Chin Got Better/Improved?

Took a couple of flush shots from Peter tonight, and it didn't seem to bother him. He was also hit with some leather by Thompson, Rahman, Chambers & Chagaev.

Has his chin got better with age?

I don't ever even think it was exactly his "chin" that bothered him at all. I've read interviews with him, where he said he got terrible anxiety when he fought. If you've ever been in a fight before, there's nothing worse for turning your legs to spaghetti than anxiety. (Without being punched obviously.) Anxiety will gas you right out, and turn your chin to glass. Apparently him and Manny Stweart have successfully addressed the issue since they've been working together.

Wlad always had a decent chin. Sanders after all was avery hard puncher and hit Wlad with some mean flurries, but Wlad still stood up every time he went down. Brewster never actually had him hurt before he gassed, and even then he would not go down.

No. Wladimars chin will always be abit iffy and there to be exposed. You can't improve your chin, that's FACT.

I don't think his chanite is granite by any means but alot of his knockdowns look weird, like he was either physically or mentally fatigued.

So with the confidence he has right now, and being much more relaxed in the ring, it makes sense that he doesn't seem as vulnerable these days.

No need for a 6'7 250 lb man to fight like that if he has a good chin, I think he knows it aint good and therefore doesnt take any chances.

Wlad seems to absorb shots better, but he's never been hit with a real flush shot like he was in the fights where he was knocked out. He also seemed more gassed out than hurt.

So I would say his stamina and overall defense has improved.

You can count the clean punches that have landed on his chin with the fingers of your hand. And that's a credit to him.

I think he's more confident now though. He had a bad batch in 2003-2006, looking vulnerable in the Sanders, Brewster, Williamson and Peter fights. Since then he has barely been hit, and whenever he has been hit, it hasn't affected him. The question still remains if he were to get hit more regularly, but with the improvements he has made I cannot see that happening in the nearby future.

I don't think it's improved its just that his defense is much better so some of the power is taken out of the punches. He used to fight down to his opponent now he's fighting tall and they are punching upwards.

He has also worked on reacting to getting hit I feel, before when got hit with a hard shot he was horrible at disguising that he was hurt. Now even if he was hurt he's able to appear as if he isn't so he doesn't get hit with the follow up.
