Ike looked like something quite special, but there is no way we can know his real value.

Maybe Lennox would school him the same way he schooled Tua. There is just no way to say what would happen. If Tyson retired straight after the jail he would become a fantasy GOAT.

yea,,,ike was solid but hes so overrated its laughable. he had a life and death war with a one dimensional tua in which I thought tua eked out the win.light hitting byrd was hanging with him until he got caught along the ropes. ike very well may have got to wlad but I think lewis and possibly even vitali would decision him

        Ike?

Who is to know what would ever become of him?

People love talking about resumes on this forum but Ike never had much of one...He fought cans except for two opponents.

People who hype up Ike are the same as those who think that Tyson is GOAT.

Samuel Peter looked impressive too, until he stepped up in opposition...

I remember all the Peter hype......something along the lines of the next Ike...And what happened? Maybe Ike would have ended the same.

I think Samuel Peter and Ike were both great boxers but I concede, he cannot be rated the same as Lewis or Klitschko's because he was not proven.

As I previously stated he needed another 10 fights before he could be considered a "seasoned contender".

He clearly beat Tua imo. But Lennox DID do it better!

However Ike beat Byrd more convincingly that the Klitschko's!

              Whats so funny?

Both had a belt. Both intimidating punchers that fans loved and were assured that they would run the division. Have you been on this board when Peter was moving up the ranks knocking cans out left right and center? Maybe not considering your join date.

Personally I'd pick Ike over Peter but they are very similar fighters. If not please say how.

I think Wladimir would have controlled him with his jab. I don't like Wladimir that much but I think he gets severely underrated because he's European and fights kind of safe.

Sam Peter didn't have Ike's skills.

No, they aren't very similar either.
