Comments Thread For: Juanma Expects Gamboa Unification By February/March

WBO featherweight champion Juan Manuel Lopez expects to have a unification with Yuriorkis Gamboa by early next year. He says as long as the two of them continue to win, he expects them to fight by February, March 2011. Their mutual promoter Top Rank has been building their fight for over a year. Gamboa will stake his WBA title against IBF champion Orlando Salido in a unification fight on Saturday night in Las Vegas. Gamboa will need to beat Salido. Juanma has to beat Rafael Marquez on November 6. The two victories would ensure a fight with three title belts being involved.

He'll probably lick his chops to fight Gamboa if Gamboa looks like shit tonight against Salito.

Thats all well and good, but they're forgetting the fact that Juanma will be brutally k.o'd by Rafa.

Lopez is the easiest path out of the three between Gamboa and Cab. Rafa is cherry picking.
