What hurts boxing to the casual fans...

Is when they show fights on TSN or ESPN and they are big slow heavyweights who dont even look like athletes...they are NOT exciting and they are not appealing whatsoever to the mainstream fight fans...

G Dog was at a social club and everyone started talking about how boxing is boring now compared to the UFC and the versitality of the fights and G Dog looks up at the TV and its showing boxing of slow heavyweights....sigh

Smaller weight classes should be showcased more, not the heavyweights. lets see more of the Canadian Kid Steve Molitor, Roman Gonzalez, Wilf Vasquez, hell...ANYONE in the lower divisions. Hell even hardcore boxing fans cant swollow most of the boxing they show on TV when it comes to the heavyweights

Ya give boxers those small pads they call gloves and let some boxers hit each other, blood and knockout rates will go sky high and so will ratings!

8/10 MMA fights I watch are pretty boring affairs. Although, if you have a couple of standup guys like Daley and Hardy facing each other, it can be very exciting.

Still, no MMA fight can match boxing for excitement when it is at its best. Name me an MMA fight this year that was as good as Burns - Martinez?

I thought it was very exciting when Caballero bludgeoned him.
