But now everybody is saying MM is back. C'mon he look horrible throughout the fight. He cought Jirov with one shot and now all of a sudden he is a dominate force in the heavy division.
exactly, Jirov needs to go back down to cruiser and dominate, he gave a very valiant shot at Heavy, his body just cant do it. Moorer is garbage. Any top 20 heavy will clean his clock. he looked like **** in this fight until that one punch.
Moorer Knocks The Taste Out Of Jirov's Mouth While On Krispy Kreme Diet
What is up with Michael Moorer? Ok so he knocks out Jirov who really wasn't a huge threat to begin with. Does this make Moorer a possible threat to the Heavyweight hiarchy? I say no. Moorer coming in at a fat 247 tells me that he is still having motivation problems that have plagued him throughout his career. In order to compete with the top he needs to get himself back into tip top form. What is your opinion, do you honestly think he could take on some of the divisions top fighters coming in looking like a walking endorsement for Krispy Kreme Donuts?

i agree, his physique tells me he really doesn't care about boxin. He's had a history of lack of motivation his whole career, so why does he even bother.
So could this set up a toney - moorer fight,
perfect for toney.
he fights a heavy with a name but doesnt have to risk
the big guys , v-klit , ruiz , byrd , golota , brewster
and any other contenders like rahman and meehan.
Moorer gets a shot at a name too and will improve his
chances of a title shot with a win.

that might be a good fight. but i would be more interested in moorer actually taking it seriously and stepping up his game. he has alot of potential. toney would prolly win if they fight. they can both be very dangerous.
I don't think it was just one punch that took Jirov out. Although Jirov was winning throughout most of the match, each time Moorer hit Jirov on the face, Jirov's head snapped back, almost every time. During the 9th round, Jirov for some reason kept moving towards Moorer with his gloves really low. Initially, I thought he did that because he was going for the KO and Moorer's punches weren't having an effect, but then Jirov was getting a little wobbled during those last few exchanges. He either needs to work on his defense, and/or move down a weight class.
