good for Chavez not to get involved.I don't see how they can compare this dude to Margarito ,he fights nothing like him.but oh well if things go bad ,then now they have a good excuse.lol.......

He is young and can give Pacquiao some good sparring. I am sure Roach picked him because he saw something he could use. Good opportunity for this kid to get his name out there.

I read another article that said Chavez going to the Philippines was 50/50. They can barely even get him to Hollywood. haha.

I remember watching one of his fights, the kid is ultra agressive, and has a punch, i really like what i saw, it's good to hear about him again, it will be a great experience for him training with Pacquiao.

Bad Move for Chavez Jr. should have went with Roach to get more experience as Sparring Partner for Manny. Bad Move for Chavez Jr. He still has a long way to go and this would have been the best way for him to learn more. So what if he don't fight Cotto in December. He should get his Game Better. I'm From Culiacan and big fan of his dad's, He should step his game up!!!

From what I hear, it's just another Pat Lynch/Carl Moretti co-managed fighter getting a break and exposure, very nice.. The kid is pretty good too...

This Dude was an excellent pick by Roach. Just one thing, Glen is a novice. Based on phisique, it was a very good choice. However, there are somethings that only experience teaches. If Pacquiao becomes tricky with his punches which he always is throwing punches from weird angles then Glen's experience in may not help paquiao at all. Or Glen comes out really aggressive and may hurt pacquiao because that is a really possible thing to happen. They might ask Glen to cool it a little which doesnt really help either. I don't know. Seems weird to ask a prospect to be a primary sparring partner for and elite champion.

Even though a bit heavier I would have asked Marco Antonio Rubio. Who know maybe he would have accepted.

Roach and Arum knew Pacquiao wouldn't make it to Nov 13 if Chavez Jr. was his sparring partner.
