Purse split in the WBA for regular champion vs. interim champion is 55-45 Khans way.

The thing is though that Maidana gave Khan a pass on the mandatory a while back in exchange for possible HBO dates, so Khan might not even have a mandatory due right now. And if he doesnt have a mandatory due, then Maidana cant call for a purse bid.

But it probably doesnt matter even if Khan has a mando due. The WBA will NEVER strip him no matter what.

Khan is doing that so if Negotiations break down he then can blame in on Maidana, he will then come and say "I agreed to fight but Maidana didn't"

It would mean Khan,Roach and GBP never wanted the fight, Khan was talking about how Maidana isn't his mandatory yesterday so am glad Maidana is requesting a purse-bid, I want to see if khan vacates his belt.

this is another example where there are too many fighters who think they are champions and too many belts who think they are best sanctioning body. Everyone here is working to make the fight fail.
