After Amir Khan’s ridiculous demands have frustrated all the efforts to reach an agreement and especially since he is tired of all the lies that Khan himself and his team have told to the media and boxing fans in the last few weeks, last night Marcos Maidana requested the World Boxing Association (WBA) to immediately call the fight to a Purse Bid.

“I got fed up with this Twitter-star. He is the biggest liar and coward I’ve ever seen. He said I was asking too much money for the fight. False. But if he has a problem with the money, I challenge him to make a winner-takes-it-all bout. But that’s not his real problem. You wanna hear the latest news from him? Now he says I’m not his mandatory! So his lawyers are trying to get a way out of the fight with me,” Maidana said.

“I’ve asked my team to proceed with the request for the WBA to call the fight to a Purse Bid. Once the Purse Bid has a winner the fight has to be made. Then we’ll see who is lying here. Let’s see for real who wants to fight and who does not. Trust me, Amir Con would relinquish his title rather than face me, “El Chino” added.

Yes he did, but it's been obvious from the start of this whole thing what "Team Khans" strategy has been regarding Maidana. Talk it up to make it seem like Khan wants it.......but make sure it never actually happens.

agree.....he's not a bum at all IMHO......i never thought he would get past Ortiz......if they rematch i would favour Ortiz, but i'm not sure Khan's will be able to stand up to the pressure Maidana will apply unless he lands something big early.
