peter can certainly be put out. did you not watch the jamile mccline fight? mccline knocked peter down 3 times, but as dan rafael perfectly put it "jamile then remembered his role as the worst finisher in the sport". peter ended up winning the fight, although it was a VERY shaky victory. the punches didn't even look like they were that hard. idk how peter took the shots klitschko put on him in the first fight and how mccline put him down so easy with much lesser shots. i guess mccline just hit the right button that needed to be hit, or peters lack of training just made him soft.
i think the peter of 2005 against wlad was the best peter that we have seen to date. peter is allegedly in better shape though and he certainly has more experience behind him. at that time he was undefeated and on the rise. this time he is training as serious as he ever has and certainly realizes this could be his last chance at the big title. i think peter will be ready, i think this will be the absolute best sam peter we will ever see - he won't be as good as this ever again. sadly though, he won't look good though - because it will be one sided, regardless of how the fight ends.
however, i also think this is the best klitschko we have ever seen. he has been catching a lot of heat for not putting guys out, and you know steward is going to be in his corner *****in at him for not putting some bombs down into peters face. i think their whole training camp has been based on the knockout. steward flat out got crazy mad and told wladimir to knock chambers out - and he did. i think klitschko can do what ever he wants in the ring now, when ever he wants to do it. he is such a smart fighter though that he has realized you don't need to go out there and make it an early night to knock guys out. but for this fight he wants to end it early, i think he has fallen into his style enough that he can start doing this without worry, i think we COULD see the ferociousness of old wlad come out but with the skill and perfection of the new wlad clearly apparent. if this is the case (and i really think it is), then this fight will NOT go 9.5 rounds. i don't care how ready peter is - if klitschko truly goes for the knockout, then peter will get knocked out.
i think its just a matter of if you believe klitschko when he says hes going for the knockout early or not.
im really excited about this fight though - this fight is so much more compelling than the povetkin fight. povetkin posed zero threat to wlad. peter at least gave wlad a rough night back in 2005.
