To be honest the Clottey that fought pacquiao wasnt the same fighter that faced cotto or judah. Hes still a top welter but should definatly be fighting at light middle or middle, that guy is big.

what fat check yall talkin about? he made what? one-two mil? thats not a fat check in boxing terms. pacquiao and arum screwed him on the purse split, he had his biggest payday yet but its still way lower than what mosley, margarito, cotto, judah etc make every ppv not to mention floyd and manny.

thats why its so surprising he didnt fight to win, there wasnt so much money in it for him that its worth basicly throwing the fight on a stage that big, pretty much ruining his career. thats why u dont see none of him, nobody wants to see any of him. he beat a washed up corrales way over his best weight, then he threw away a fight against margarito, one against cotto and then didnt show up at all against pacquiao. nobody wants to see this clown, hes a joke.

I heard he was in Ghana driving a brand new red Mercedes or BMW....I forget which one but he was a driving a brand new luxury german vehicle .....I guess he's ok with himself.....I'm not interested in seeing him fight....Clottey used to be one of my favs.....I'm so pissed at this dude that I dont really care when and who he fights.....his performance against Manny was HORRIBLE....and then the ****TY excuse that followed...oh man!!

if you were a fan of Clottey, what did you expect him to fight like? Declaring yourself a fan of Clottey implies you knew what he fights like.


Never has a fight played out more like I envisaged it than Pacquiao-Clottey. Nobody should have been surprised.


FWIW, the scores were unduly wide. Clottey clearly did the better work in some rounds and definitely should've gotten more of a share.

Clottey should try get a fight with Berto. Though Berto is an HBO fighter (i think) so i doubt HBO would approve them fighting. I reckon he could beat Berto if he put his mind to it.

Other than that he could move up to 154 because there are a lot of fights there for him and his body seems more suited to that weight since he's something like 160 on average for his 147 fights on fight night.
