Cliff said most accomplished of our time vs. All time, I don't believe he revered to anyone as ATG. Just making comparisons for debate

      Great read.

The precise statement that really sums up Morales is this:

Rare are the men who could say the same through the years. Morales earned the right to have his name mentioned with those who could, with the likes of Beau Jack, Joe Frazier, Matthew Saad Muhammad, and Evander Holyfield (to name a few) in that regard.
      Amen

Great article there and all respect to Erik, one of the true ring greats.

The Marquez fight, if it happens will be great because it will mean Marquez, Pacquiao, Barrera and Morales have all then fought each other.

The best fighting the best over the years, even if this fight is a lil late.

Erik Morales is a great little fighter since Sal and Sr Chavez for me Barrera and JMM fell short in my rank list to get close two these 2 great mexican boxers if Erik Morales can win a 4 belt and then beat anybody at 140 he will be real close to take Chavez title of best mexican fighter ever

              question,

how was pacquiao considered a lineal win at 130lbs for morales? that was pac's first fight at 130.

Because, it is under current and former lineal champs.

In my mind, there is no other fighter in all of the years I have watched Boxing that stands for everything that is right about the sport more then Morales. He had great boxing ability, a never back down warrior attitude, he fought everyone there was to fight, and when he lost he went out like a man. Erik Morales IS Boxing as far as Im concerned. What did he say when asked why he stood toe to toe with Manny in the 12th after being ahead on the cards? "You liked that?" with a smile. ****ing legend. I cant say enough about how much respect I have for the man.

Erik Morales will always be that great champ that gives his best in every fight and believes that what he has already accomplished as a boxer and a fighter isnt enough even though he is already a freaken legend of this sport. Much love for this true warior EL TERRIBLEEEEEEE!

there was no lineal title at stake when MP and morales fought... it has been vacant since PBF left 130...

MP acquired it when he beat JMM in their second fight...

i will post a link as soon as i get it...
