Exactly. If Khan did that then there would be outrage, but because they are not english they get a free pass.

The way i see it is, if the WBA had any respect left in it's pityful organisation then they would force a mandatory defense of Khan's title to the Interim challenger which is Maidana. That's the only way you can find out who's ducking who. Give it a time limit and if Khan doesn't fight then he will have to be stripped. Or maybe Maidana would just be exposed as the one who is doing the ducking.

I agree. The fight should be sent to Purse Bid since Maidana has been the "Interim" Champ since he beat Ortiz last year. Purse bid states 65% Champ 35% Challenger. But Khan doesn't want a purse bid because then he will not be co-promoting jack.

If HBO is offering 2 mil for this fight, I can't blame Maidana for wanting half of that. Especially since Khan wasnt offered that amount when he fought Paulie. Maidana has been on HBO more than Khan and they obviously offered more money because he is fighting Maidana. It would be similar to the PWill vs Pavlik negotiations.

Last time I checked Khan fought his voluntary in Malignaggi, so he has to fight Maidana
