B.S. This isn't about money. Kahn has to man-up and fight someone who can give him a fight. Roach and Co. don't want him anywhere near a puncher like Madiana out of fear of having another Presscott-like debacle. Kahn's chin is China. We all know that. He can beat Maidana, but only if he fights in spurts. If he gets cracked even once by Maidana, it could be lights out. AGAIN.

I'm telling you, they don't want any part of Maidana. Roach is a master at protecting his fighters. Putting Kahn in there with Maidana would be FAR too big of a risk vs. the potential reward. Why do you think Team Pacquiao wanted absolutely nothing to do with Shane Mosley? Because even if Kahn beats Maidana it's not that big of a deal, really. It's a very credible win to us boxing fans, of course. But why take a chance on someone like Maidana when you can beat up past their prime Barerra's, etc? Kahn is already looking like a fraud job. He's gotta' fight a tough fight in his next fight, and Maidana is the perfect man for the job.

Agreed. maidana is a dangerous oppoent for khan, but this fight needs to be made.
