We lost 6 of the 10 matchups to Italy.......the number 1 nation in boxing loses to one of the worst, interesting.

The US isn't the #1 nation in amateur boxing anymore, and hasn't been for awhile now. And I definitely wouldn't call Italy one of the worst.

I went to an amateur show when I was studying in Florence. It was just a local show, but all those kids had solid fundamentals and were clearly well-schooled.

Regardless, the US is still one of the top nations in amateur boxing. Italy really hasn't been that impressive amateur or professional. They had a few medalists in the last 20 years in the Olympics but it is no hot bed. America should not be going 4-6 against any nation other than Cuba and some Soviet nations.

There are more Hispanics in America than African Americans. This shouldn't come as any surprise.
