What exactly does this mean? I know what some will say however i have never heard a losing boxer say he lost because he was past his prime
In your prime

I don't even think youth factors in. It's whenever a fighter is at his best point of skill, smarts, and athleticism combined. You can be 37 and be prime if you retain enough athleticism to go along with much better ring smarts and skill than you had at 30.Comment

It depends, you have heard the old phrase "styles make fights" and so forth is a true statement.
Believe it or not there are even fighters who have fought in there prime and didn't even put in a 100% training and still lose i.e Wilfred Benitez is a great example. Heart is a big factor as well.

so basically it depends on which was the better fighter on the night of the fight. This makes much more sense because i have heard quite a few boxers say they lost to the better man that night and in my opinion that is very respectableComment
