One for the Amir HATERS - not, repeat NOT, for the Khan fans:

A fresh way to view the old chestnut,

really breathes new life into the most overused, blunted tool in a boxingscener's anti-Khan kit,

(*listen for the hilarious ringside commentary from a shellshocked fan*),

Both, I think. Plus other variations.

I was at that fight, had a sense of foreboding all fight-week.

It was just the savage quickness of it, the way it happened, that was shocking to me, more than the fact that Amir got stopped.

Weird night. Amir's ridiculously overlong ring-entrance, with all the billowing smoke and epic theme music, was portentous in itself - it was just way, way too much pomp and pageantry around Khan with not enough to back it up at that point. And it's not even like we got a nifty, dancing silhouette like with Naz, hahhaa.

It was just off the back of Michael Gomez. He rocked the lightweight Khan pretty good, too.

Shyeah, hopefully that surgery sorted out the swelling in his head forever.

                    fingers crossed
