No One In History Has Won More Lineal Titles In Different Weight Classes Than Manny

Feel free to correct me if I am mistaken.

At 112 pounds, Manny dethroned Chatchai Sasakul for the lineal title.
At 126 pounds, Manny dethroned Marco Antonio Barrera for the lineal title.
At 130 pounds, Manny won the vacant lineal title over Juan Manuel Marquez.
At 140 pounds, Manny dethroned Ricky Hatton for the lineal title.

Has anyone ever won more lineal titles in more seperate divisions?

No. But I think you have to point out that there wasn't always these divisons. So the old school guys couldn't have won a title at 130 or 140 they had 147, 135, and 126 only.

        No, they have not.

But, fighters have won more lineal titles than Manny in the original 8 weight-classes.

What is wrong when a fighter moves up or retires and then the top 2 fighters of the divisoin fight for the vacant title?

How do you think lineal titles are determined?

Fair enough, however, take into account that Manny won his titles over the span of 112 to 140, or 28 pounds and a fighter like Armstrong won his from 126 to 147 or 21 pounds.

nothing. But it has to be seen as less of anaccomplishment then beating the actual champion in the ring. Say what you want but floyd beat Hernadez, castillo, Corrales, Baldo and Shane in the ring. As the greates ever, The God Ric Flaiir so aptly put it

To Be the Man you Have to Beat the Man!

But 140 and 130 are not actual weights armstrong could fight at. Better yet, there was no 154 where he could've picked up another title. Manny gets his credit, But if you only argue volume you need to put it in proper perspective.
