Comments Thread For: Steward: Klitschko Will Put Away Peter in Four, Five Rounds

Trainer Emanuel Steward is not expecting a long night when WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko defends his title against Samuel Peter on Saturday in Frankfurt, Germany. Five years ago Peter knocked Klitschko down three times before Wladimir won a twelve round unanimous decision. Steward doesn't expect anything of the sort in the rematch. He is expecting Wladimir to clean up with is fists in four to five rounds of action. [Click Here To Read More]

Peter has a 6 pack, looks strong, looks about as thin as he can get with his frame and build. It wont matter though because he has no head movement and because Wlad is still in better shape, bigger, stronger and more skilled. All Peter has is a punchers chance. Thats it.

If Wlad hits Peter with left hooks like the one he landed in the 12th of their first fight, lots of them hard and early, then maybe. Because Sam seemed to be eating those right hands like candy. But odds are Wlad will work behind the jab until Peter's eyes are swollen and if he stops him, which is doubtful, it'll be late.

Good to see Peter under 240. I think we'll see some drama in this one.

Sam Peter has a very good chin.

I think Wlad will stop him, but not until a later round (8th to 11th).

I'm already proud of Peter for getting in top shape and motivated for this fight. That's all that I can ask of him. A victory is doubtful, but would be a pleasant surprise.

it is a shame Steward doesn't explain in what way Peter has improved as a fighter compared to 5 years ago, because I fail to see how, I actually think he has deteriorated (phisically), or that he is the same in the best case, and I think he just says he has improved so that the public doesn't think we have a mismatch on our hands

what has Peter done since Wlad ? looked bad in his loss to Chambers, looked bad in his win over Maskaev, looked bad against Vitali, McCline

last time he looked good ? 2007, Toney rematch

this man has not improved, he still throws those wide looping shots, he can't throw a damn combination that looks good, technically, he sucks, and we could see that as recently as his last fight, against Christina Aguilera
