Dear god, I hate the word prime with boxers. Some fighters im like, Ok I get it they were way past it etc...but Bowe was 29 when he fought Golata, his best win came less than a year before that fight imo. And yeah he was fat, heck when was he prime? The best he ever looked was probably against Seldon and 7 months after that fight he came in weighing 257 lbs...22 lbs more than he weighed during Golata 2. I dont even know when prime Bowe was. It wasnt like he started getting fatter like Toney, or had some big weight gain etc...he was on a yo-yo diet. The guys only 4 years older than Vitali, but his last win that meant anything was almost 16 years ago.

I mean I am not a fan of triangle theory, but other than Holyfield what was Bowe's best win? Hide? Who Vitali murdered faster? A young Larry Donald? A guy Vitali also wound up beating. I mean, how people respect Bowe is beyond me. Tons of physical gifts, but he never did anything with them but beat Holyfield. Didnt fight Tyson, Lewis, Foreman, Mercer, Moorer, Morrison, Vitali, Tua, Ike, Briggs, Ruddock. I mean the guys who were around at that time in his career that he didnt fight is just amazing. I mean he seemed afraid of the big punchers too. I just dont get him. I dont get the love for his career or how people say hed beat Tyson or a Klitschko. I dont get it.
