Do you think Hopkins saw flaws in pascal for the reason he jumped on the fight?

so if that is the case, he could have fought the winner of dawson/johnson 2, like he announced...instead it was shotroy jones...the ppv was what, 180,000 buys...i'm willing to bet the numbers would have been more or less the same had it been dawson...

Pascal is just that slightly less technical.

If Hopkins can beat anyone, it is on his technical ability.

Dawson is fast and pretty technical IMO, so was dangerous but Pascal is slightly a weaker opponent for this match up.

dawson had major problems with pascals speed (which i thought pascal was quicker) his power, AND his unorthordox rhythm...stuff that can definitly throw hopkins off his old school game of roughhouse....he's gonna have his hands full with either fighter imo

Pascal has a lot of obvious flaws that I would think most boxing fans could see. Hopkins isnt ******, he sees all those weaknesses too.

Pascal's flurry and run style is something that Hopkins laughs at, its so amateurish. Dawson's style was more threatening to Hopkins...sort of like Taylor, just didnt match up well with him.

still, Hopkins is so old and has looked so bad in his last few fights...but Ive learned never to count that son of a ***** out. So many fights have I thought he would show up looking ancient and awful after like a year layoff, and then he goes and turns back time again, totally throwing me off.

Thing is, Hopkins is a master at that sort of thing. Pascal really needs to take it to Hopkins IMO, not hit and run because I feel it will play into Hopkins hands.

However Hopkins is pasted it for me.

good post...yeah pascal has some flaws, but even a just as fast fighter like dawson couldn't capitalize on them...

I'm sure he did...he still has the task to defeat him tho...Pacquiao has flaws but he's dominating right now...

same thing i say...don't show him no respect...and pascal shows a willingness to go in and get some bodywork done, get out and go back in...something nobody that fights hopkins seems to employ...dude is 46 years old...you should be focusing on his body for about 8, 9 rounds to break down his defense...

A packed house in Montreal isn't bringing in any more money than 200 people in CT. HBO pays the man - if Hops got paid by the gate, he'd stop fighting.
