Everytime a high profile boxer is on his way out the media and everyone else starts panicking wondering who will replace them.

It happened with Dempsey, Robinson, Ali, Leonard, Tyson, Hoya, and it always will.

New fighters come in and stake there claim. No one EVER expected Pac to reach a level of popularity that he did, now hes on Asian Time Magazine.

That is how boxing works. It can take years for the sport to find new stars. But they'll eventually be there.

As for people saying it needs Floyd. Yes, he gives the sport a lot of attention. But most people don't like him, and the casual fan doesn't understand boxing enough to appreciate him. And since he won't take the biggest fight out there and there are no other big fights for him, I don't see what the hell the sport needs him for.

Boxing was gaining his popularity when floyd first retire and now he came back the sport was dying again.

Hit the nail on the head. Don't think it's likely, but if Floyd decides to drop drug testing demands, everybody including their grandmom and grandad in remote countries with no semblance of technological advancement will tune in just to see if Floyd can be defeated.

I don't put floyd in a D-level he is a little better than that, floyd is B+ at best that's why floyd is fighting a boxer B- level at best.
