How did puerto rican boxing fans feel when B hop threw the flag down?

I was in P.R. when this happened and it was breaking news all over the radio (i was driving when it went down)
They didnt talk about anything else all day. It was crazy because the fans started to attack and throw **** and Bernard had to jump down off of the bleachers he was on because the people were coming after him and security wasnt able to stop them.
The part i Remember the most was When hopkins finally got to the back He ran into some dressing room and the people were coming for him but they had a whole barricade of Police standing out front fighting off the people to Protect hopkins.
It was really wild stuff

Hopkins has never been a very classy guy when it comes to prefight stuff. remember him shoving Wright in the face in their fight? this was pretty disrespectful too.
That sucks. Its not even like Puerto Rico is even a country, wonder why they would act like that.

If you are from Philly than i wonder how PR people from philly felt about it? I have cousins there and they were pissed at BHOP.

I do think BHOP was scarred both times he threw that flag to the floor. My problem with BHOP is when he got dropped twice by Mercado and claimed he got robbed with the draw, and did the same in his 3 losses with JT and Calzaghe. The only fights he admits to losing were Jones and his first fight as LHW. But i do think he is an ATG.

Its funny you say that because i was actually back home in Philly when the fight went down. I was at a Party and EVERYBODY (mostly ricans) wanted Trinidad to kill B-Hop. There was like no love at all for the Local Philly guy.
The only Person i remember Cheering for Hopkins was a white dude who was a friend of my Uncle and he later admitted he was only cheering for Hopkins to piss us off lol
I think he eased up after Tito lost and realized nobody was in a joking mood anymore haha

I am proud being born in the US, and yes i can from both backgrounds, don't make me a sell out or anything.

I been to PR about 16 times, they don't hate other nationalities, but i do think there is a rivalry with Mexico and Dominicans. Many DR are coming to PR now.

But remember about nationalism, the people that you love will be the first to put a knife to your throat, so judge the character of the person and not their heritage.
