c'mon man now people are hating on Andre Ward? S.O.G is a great athlete man his style is very enjoyable for me, I was amazed at how he contained Allan Green so easily, it was baffling to me to see him reduce a tough motherfucker like Allan Green to a non threat, it was pure dominance..

everybody complains about his head, here's the difference though Andre Ward doesn't LOOK for the head butt, it happens because he leads in with his head to maintain posture and positioning on his opponents. I don't like when people intentionally foul like Casamayor, Holyfield and Hopkins who actually turn their heads inward just to purposely head butt you, Hopkins hit Roy Jones Jr and Keith Holmes low so bad that even I pissed blood after the fight, Andre Ward doesn't do that, if you notice his stance and his movement is VERY composed, he stands his ground so he's not going to back up or move his head back just because his opponent is rushing in or because the fight is in close, he will maintain his position and being that he is that way it will make for a lot of accidental head butts to occur..

it's like how when Jean Pascal headbutted Chad Dawson, Jean Pascal did NOT mean to do that but due to his effectively aggressive style he couldn't stop him himself, Andre Ward is the same way so to call him a cheat is awful, he's one of Boxing's youngest stars and biggest talent, how can you not like S.O.G and call yourself a Boxing fan when he does everything a Boxer should do and he does it successfully?

Why has Ward 3 fights on home soil?

it makes monetary sense thats why, u think sauerland wouldnt have protested if it wasnt more money in their pocket? froch draws 6000-8000 fans while being heavily promoted thats why they made him go to denmark

At the time Dirrel was a prospect, Taylor was done as **** and Kessler was ageing and out of action for quite some time.

when ward got kessler, kessler was the tournament favorite

nobody on this board gave ward a chance except for that SOG guy. if u wanna talk about unfair how is it that taylor was to face abraham-ward and kessler in that order. 3 fighters who pre and post-super six were/are the favorites. if u wanna talk easy look at who abraham fought a washed up taylor a green direll and hes to face a froch on the downside.

they would have gotten paid in euros. boxin is still a hot sport in europe & asia. it has fizzled out greatly here in the states. too many sports & too many things to do here.

the accidental headbutts had no effect on the Kessler fight, seeing as Ward had swept every round in his favor prior to the first headbutt anyway.

Holding and hitting is not illegal as long as youre still able to fight in the clinch. in other words, if youre doing more hitting than holding. Didnt you guys ever see Leonard-Duran 1? A large portion of that fight was spent in clinch range, with Duran still going to work and doing plenty of damage.
People nowadays have no idea how to infight, and look to the refs to save them from that kind of fight.

Ward has never tested positive for any steroids, and to suggest that hes on them is just grasping at sraws trying to discredit him.

People forget so quickly, but Ward was a large underdog against Kessler, when Kessler was the favorite to win the entire tournameant going in. Ward beat him while winning virtually every round, more dominantly than Joe Calzaghe did.

That being said, if (somehow) Ward-Dirrell isnt made(which it will be because of the lawsuits from Showtime), then I will be very upset with Ward.
I also agree that he should fight somewhere else than Oakland, even though so far he hasnt needed any hometown cooking anyway.

There don't seem to be any rational reasons for why i should really dislike Ward but yet i really do. Feel like he has had an uneven playing field and a fortune run so far, not to mention an ugly style.
