According to sources in Mexico, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is reportedly not happy with the idea of having to spend several weeks in the Philippines to prepare for a fight with WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto. Chavez's new trainer, Freddie Roach, will be in the Philippines for several weeks to train Manny Pacquiao for his fight with Antonio Margarito on November 13. Cotto vs. Chavez is tentative for December 4.

I wouldnt spent a week in that country,it's just a personal preference so I understand Chavez.
It's a difficult decision for Roach because he has all these fighters but it's the boxing season now so what more can he do.

There's been talk of pac's next fight happening in November for the longest, even before Chavez/duddy,so he should Have put 2 and 2 together when there were talks of a dec 4th fight.Chavez's "circle of trust" ie..Chavez sr,was BEGGIN for roach to train his son,that's the obstacles U go thru. rigo had the same problem with roach and he jumped ship.roach knows PAC is his cash cow, Chavez jr is sheep change compared to what PAC is.I never made excuses and never thought of the ****** BS talk of being a so called "weight drain" cotto When he fought PAC, so ain't no one putting a gun to chavez's head to come down to 154 to fight. money greed makes U do out of the ordinary things,so he needs to watch what he puts in his body.ariza can plan out his diet and Chavez is grown enough to follow the excercise plan he sets until his turn for one on one training.

Seems to me like the issue isn't the time he will get from Roach but going to Phillipines. I guess he doesn't want to train there. This guy has had a history of being lazy and having the wrong attitude, he hasn't been known to be a hard worker. His last camp he worked a little hard, but habits are hard to get rid of and he is showing his same old diva attitude.
