WBC lightweight champion Humberto Soto has no problem with a fight against his countryman Erik Morales. Last week the WBC announced that Morales would become Soto's mandatory challenger. Morales has to beat Willie Limond on September 11. Soto makes a defense of title against Fidel Monterrosa Munoz of Colombia on September 18. If both fighters win, the bout is possible, but Morales would rather face WBA/WBO champion Juan Manuel Marquez.

Soto tried to fight Morales in 2007, 2008, 2009 and Morales declined, just like Pacman, Barrera, Marquez, Robert Guerrero, Jorge Linares, Anthony Peterson, have all declined to fight Soto.

Soto is just too strong, even though Soto has been faking his past performances lately, he is a very strong puncher, which is why he is feared by many.
