Unless Kelly was a slick boxer with side to side lateral movement/foot work and a decent jab (none of which he was) then he gets stomped by Tito.

Tito's strength lay in opponents who offered no movement and were stationary to hit.

    Don't believe me? Ask Vargas....

Yeah, and tito is this superior boxer now? He is a slugger aswell. Go watch tapes on him if you don't know Tito's style.

Pretty good fight, I give Tito the edge but give Pavlik a possibility of pulling it off. JT was punching the hell out of Pavlik for the KD and Pavlik came back. Tito could possibly run out of gas if he chose to try to finish Pavlik early and Pavlik can hurt him if he gets to him.

Vargas and Pavlik can't be compared.

Vargas got KOd by Trinidad, DLH, Mosley(x2). Pavlik has never been KOed, only been down once. Don't forget Tito dropped vargas twice within the first minute, and couldn't finish him till the 12th

No-one's ever outbrawled Pavlik either. Heavy hitters like Miranda and Taylor got pummeled when they tried to exchange with Pavlik - that's his strength as much as Tito's

Oh and at 160 Pavliks power & chin > Titos power & chin, and trinidad would hardly outbox pavlik like hopkinds/martinez would he?

Thing is, Tito never ran out of gass, so good luck with that.

Don't forget Pavlik doesn't have half the skills Vargas did, and I do mean that literally.

He did against Hopkins. After that 10th round he looked knackered, and got KOd soon after. It wasn't just the one punch - it was the accumulation

                You're right - he doesn't.

                Vargas's skill > Pavlik
                Pavlik's Stamina > Vargas
                Pavlik's Power > Vargas
                Pavlik's Reach > Vargas
                Pavlik's Chin > Vargas
                Pavlik's Size > Vargas
                Pavlik's Jab = Vargas

But i doubt Pavlik-trinidad would be fought on skills. These are two basics fighters who can both be outboxed by slick guys, but their main assets are power. Trinidad's left versus Pavlik's straight right

Anybody can run out of gas. I think Pavlik can absorb punishment better than Vargas did and he can hurt Tito with any punch. If Tito tries to finish him and cant hes going to need to take a break and thats dangerous.

It's a tossup, Trinidad is the better and more precise boxer, but I think if Pavlik can take Trinidad's shots, he'd wear him down with his great output for a guy with his size and power and eventually knock him out.

Of course I was being sarcastic, but Tito was greatly conditioned.

Also, Vargas was able to stand near him, slip alot of Tito's punches and set him up. Pavlik doesn't have those skills and neither does his size/ power compensate for that lack of skill. Remember, he took alot of good punches from B-Hop, Bernard may not hit as hard as Pavlik but he's alot more accurate and at that time was very consistent with his attack. I view Pavlik as too much of a basic fighter to actually deal with Tito.
