Tito had allot of personal problems leading up to the fight. He couldnt sleep thinking about his mistakes and of course his family. Would the outcome have been any different? I personally dont think so but we will never know. Hopkins refused to give him the rematch.

I agree but we will never know how much he was affected with all the personal crap happening to him. Think about it this way, Jermain Taylor beat Hopkins 2 times and he isnt the same caliber fighter a prime Tito is.

WOW- your top fighters list has to be a joke...

As an aside.... Tito lost to BHop bc BHop is a smarter, bigger fighter. BHop started his career at middleweight, Tito started his at JWW... 3 weight classes below BHop... Furthermore, BHop was a defensive wizard. And as far as Vargas knocking him down, what does that have to do with Tito's skills? Tito was knocked down by quite a few fighters in the first couple rounds... but he recovered and knocked them the **** out... like he did Vargas. Vargas was never the same after that fight... actually, after that left hook that nearly decapitated him.

ah, yes... good point... which supports the fact that BHop was naturally a much bigger guy than Tito.

not only was he much bigger, but far stronger...he could have just walked tito down and probably would have got the ko within 6 rounds...

it still would be a natural lightheavy fighting a guy who just couldn't cut it above 154

I knew there was controversy on the hand wraps of TITO on the hopkins fight. But after reading that article it does raise an eyebrow

afterwards BHop admits that it was a game to distract Tito... he admitted that the plan was to have them rewrap the hands close to fight time.... an unecessary distraction... a strategy that was typical of BHop.
