If it does land in Oakland again, I won't complain cuz then I would be able to attend the fight.

Oakland and Detroit have such ****ty football teams that its actually a good thing in some ways since it adds more fans to boxing and sells more tickets!

Bring the fight to the Garden! Andre Ward and the rest of the Olympic team visited my gym back in 2004

              What a disgrace.

The Dirrell fight should either be in Detroit or at a neutral venue.

Ward gets away with too much holding and headbutting in Oakland and is afraid to test himself. He is a chump.
Don't blame Ward. His promotor Goosen, made one heck of a job getting 3 homefights for his protegee. Everybody can see this isn't fair, but Ward isn't to blame. Rather it's Sauerland, Shaw and Hennesy who gave in to Goosen.

Does anyone know what the story with Wards contract about fighting at home is?

Was it 3 fights, or the group stages? I know there were supposed to be 3 group stage fights, but now that Kessler pulled out its the semis next (if it happens) and im curious as to whether that original agreement about Ward fighting in Oakland is still in play.

Can anybody shed some light on albino's post?

From what i read, it was just the three group stage fights in which were agreed to be held in Oakland. Ward/Dirrell (if it goes ahead) has now been made a semi-final due to Kessler dropping out through injury....which should mean his home advantage is now void.

Can anybody else confirm this? It obviously looks to be a complicated matter as the promoters are issuing continuous talks (perhaps trying to avoid a fight altogether) with no light appearing at the end of the tunnel. Such a shame.

What a joke this is, what are ward and his team afraid of?? They cant have everything there own way ALL the time, if they do have to travel eventually im sure they will want to bring their nice cosy cali refs and officials with them just in case

If they believe they will have to fight eventually whats the point of postponing now, why not just hop over to vegas and fight there if detroit is too scary for butthead??

I hope Froch knocks Abraham out! I lost all respect for AA after the Dirrell fight when he called him an actor after he hit him illegally and knocked him out cold after getting his ass whopped for an entire fight...

Big Ward fan, think he could be the best P4P one day, but come on man with the BS and go to Detriot and fight Dirrell in what should be his toughest fight to date...

That's the topic of complaint by Goossen as he cannot accept that the contract says "All of Ward's fight IN THE GROUPSTAGES to be held in Oakland, CA" but he disputes and disrespect the contract and says it means "All of Ward's FIRST 3 FIGHTS to be held in Oakland, CA".

Finally, Goossen is owned by another promoter in this tourney...got to give back, haha!

Btw, AA KTFO Froch to reach the final...
